I prepare your documents and submit them to the Washington State Secretary of State's office for apostille certification. For federal documents, submission goes to the U.S. Department of State.

State Issues the Apostille Certificate

The Secretary of State reviews and attaches the official apostille certificate to your document, authenticating it for international use.

Do all documents need an apostille?

No - apostilles are only needed for documents used in countries participating in the Hague Convention. Some non-Hague countries require a different authentication or legalization process. I'll help you figure out what your situation requires.

Can you handle documents from other states?

Yes. Apostilles are issued by the state or federal agency that originally produced the document. I coordinate the process nationwide and manage it start to finish on your behalf.

What if my document isn't notarized yet?

No problem - many documents require notarization before apostille processing. I handle both in one streamlined workflow, in person or virtually via Virtual Notary.

How long is an apostille valid?

Apostilles themselves don't expire, but the receiving country or institution may require that the underlying document be recently issued. Always confirm requirements with the organization requesting your documents before you start the process.

I don't provide translation services but can refer you. If your documents need to be translated, you'll need a certified translator - and that translation may also need to be notarized and apostilled depending on the destination country's requirements.

What's the difference between an apostille and authentication/legalization?
